Parent Summit Program
This brochure was created as a program and map for the Parent Summit Conference, an event for parents of transition-aged youth attending Virginia’s “I’m Determined” Youth Summit. The Virginia Department of Education’s “I’m Determined” project works to increase the self-determination skills of students with disabilities in public schools across the Commonwealth of Virginia. This event is an opportunity to network with other parents and professionals and get information about the newest regulations, programs and practices. Topics typically focus on school, supporting families, community life, self-determination, self-advocacy, leadership, health care, employment services, college and more.
This brochure was designed for both print and was created in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator). The client, Center for Family Involvement at VCU, requested that we create a design that maintained their brand’s color palette and was inspired by the artwork of Roy Lichtenstein.
